WE BELIEVE ALL CHILDREN CAN LEARN IN ALL AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT

Who We Are

Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center is a private early childhood program for young children, three to five years of age. We offer a variety of services and programming for students with and without special needs, including special education and related services, Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK), and child daycare. Just Kids supports families in their role as primary educators, caregivers, and decision-makers in the delivery of services. Our programs assist the community at large to recognize the similarities that all children, both those with and without disabilities, share, by our provision of integrated services and the inclusion of children with special needs in our programs. Centers are located in Middle Island, Lindenhurst, William Floyd School District, Mattituck-Cutchogue School District, Hampton Bays School District, Longwood School District, Laurel, Patchogue-Medford School District, Middle Country School District, Riverhead School District and Baldwin School District.

We are nationally recognized by the Children’s Defense Fund for providing state-of-the-art services and family support for children of all disabilities.

Our Mission Statement

Just Kids’ mission is to offer comprehensive services to children and their families. We are a family-centered program committed to quality education services. Just Kids’ philosophy was developed on the notion of “whole child” development (1979) in an inclusionary environment. The mission of the program is based on developmentally appropriate early childhood philosophy that supports the importance of early childhood learning experiences including play and a planned program that supports the needs of young children and their families.

We believe that all areas of development are interrelated and interdependent and that learning occurs at different rates for different children and that the child’s early learning environment and experiences significantly impact on their lifelong development.
