Feed to Flourish Feeding Program

At our Middle Island site, the Feed to Flourish Program increases a child’s comfort level by exploring and learning about the different properties of food. The program allows a child to interact with food in a playful, non-stressful way. Tolerance to food is systematically addressed in a hierarchy of feeding steps with the ultimate goal of safely consuming familiar/new foods. The Feed to Flourish Program is adapted from the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach created by Dr. Kay Toomey. It is adapted for use in the Just Kids Early Childhood Learning Center. This Program is not intended to replace or mirror the SOS Approach.
