Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

Just Kids utilizes a proactive approach to promote positive behavior at school. Teachers provide direct instruction to teach student expectations and classroom rules. Building staff members utilize a “common language” when recognizing and modeling positive behaviors which helps students understand what is expected of them. A tiered system of behavioral supports is utilized to ensure that all students demonstrate positive school behaviors and are successful. Just Kids PBIS program focuses on the recognition and reinforcement of desirable student behaviors through a collaborative and systematic approach.
