• Students receive comprehensive related services, including speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling, physical education, behavior support, sensory support, parent counseling and training, social-emotional learning, and SOS feeding groups. Instruction and related services are integrated throughout the school day to support skill development across academic, functional, and social domains.
• Specialized learning spaces, including a sensory room, movement gym, and structured classrooms, support regulation, engagement, and motor development. These environments are intentionally designed to help students transition, build endurance, and participate successfully in daily routines.

• Each student has access to individualized materials stored in their own rolling bin, aligned with their curriculum and IEP goals. Independent workstations allow students to practice and generalize skills introduced during 1:1 instruction. Data is collected daily to monitor progress and guide instruction.

• The program utilizes the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), and the Unique/Mission Cognition curriculum. Instructional priorities include functional communication, independence in classroom routines and self-care, social reciprocity, imitation, joint attention, coping strategies, and addressing IEP goals across all academic areas.

The program emphasizes positive relationships between staff and students, incorporating each child’s interests into learning, teaching from a place of joy, and maintaining a trauma-informed approach. The goal is to foster a classroom environment where students are happy, relaxed, and engaged.
